I took the time to roughly calculate the effects of spearfishing on my Carbon Foot Print. The impact for My wife and I was quite significant. By substituting locally speared fish for beef bought at the local market we reduce are CO2 foot print by approximately 2400 pound per year. It is widely believed that Carbon emissions is responsible for global warming and climate change. An individuals "Carbon foot print" is a measure their contribution to this process.
